ANTI-KOMMUNISM IN LATIN AMERICA: An X-ray of the Process Leading to a New Colonialism

There are questions about the source of this book which shared -- in the original Spanish- a wide and often illegal popularity with The Shark and the Sardines (same author-same thesis) among the disenchanted and disinherited of Central and South America. Dr. revalo, former Socialist Democrat President of Guatemala, who was deposed by a CIA-sponsored dictator, is here discussing what he considers specious anti-Communism, the sort of redaiting which, he tells us in no uncertain terms, is merely a cloak for four vindictive reactions- the ""Police Rulers"", the ""North American industrialists"", the Catholic Church, and ""the geese of the capitol"". This last is his bitter title for a journalistic conspiracy which directs the news to favor these groups. A fearless book, and Carleton Beals eserves credit for an able translation full -- strength. We ""Yankees"" should find out all sides of how we appear in the eyes of our neighbors to the south.
