If only one tenth of this ""story based on the truth"" is actually grounded in fact, it would still be one of the most hilarious episodes of the war years. This all started back in 1939 when 13 intrepid IRA stalwarts staged an enterprising raid that netted them over a million rounds of ammo. Unfortunately they forgot the guns. Meanwhile one Chris Kinsella, who considers the whole revolution a bit silly, decides to take revenge on his super-patriotic mother-in-law-to-be who calls him a coward, among other things. Chris decides to transmit misleading information to the Germans who are planning an Irish-German alliance. The Germans respond with master spy, Irish expert, Captain Pflug who is sent to, Ireland to organize the resistance. From then on the name of the game is chaos with all the complicated intrigues so dear to the Irish heart. If you don't feel like reading it for an afternoon's entertainment, you can soon watch the movie. Visually it should be a gas.
