LOST SPRINGTIME

To his mountain retreat a writer takes a casual friend and his dog. The magic of the place sets a perfect friendship in motion and their happy solitude is broken by odd visitors. But they weather these and spend their time as they will, with the reading of a diary of the writer's grandmother their evening relaxation. The diary tells of a girlhood in the middle 1899's in a California mining town and is full of nice touches, local history and personal incidents. Their holiday ended, they reluctantly go back to town. Definite local interest, and quietly charming reading.
