THE AMAZING ROOSEVELT FAMILY 113-1942

A just, graphic, largely impersonal biography of that oak of a family tree, with the background of the entire lineage, but with development of only the more prominent members. From Dutch and Mayflower settlers, in each century several made their mark, whether as politician, judge, philanthropist, inventor, sportsman, churchman, organ maker, financier or socialist. The seventh generation produces two cousins who become president, and today's ""man of great faith"" is given full tribute. A multiplicity of small portraits makes for some sense of confusion, but the subject and the times and the human interest slant promise a reasonably good market.
