WITH CUSTER'S CAVALRY

This story of her mother, as told by the daughter of an Army officer who served with Custer, reveals the life of army posts with the 7th cavalry. Dakota in those days was a blend of gaiety and peril. Mrs. Gibson had premonitions about the battle-field which resulted in the Massacre, and her husband was not with Custer at the time, but she shared with other wives the period of suspense and horror. There is an idealized picture of Custer -- lots of human interest -- a friendly, human sort of book.
