SPRING COMES TO MEADOW BROOK FARM

Just what the title indicates -- a farm in spring with its baby animals. There are far more attractive baby animal books already on the market, but these pictures and the story that goes with them are pleasant if uninspired. We've put it in this read aloud section because the reading level interest is in this age group, but the amount of text in proportion to the pictures is greater than first reading abilities, and the factual content is more thorough than in other books in this field. Since this is the first of a series planned to cover the season on a farm, we hope the publishers will give the other books brighter, gayer jackets.
