SUSAN'S SAFE HARBOR

Because of war conditions many of us are on the move nowadays and children are having to adjust themselves to new environments. For this reason young readers will understand Susan's difficulties because when she was nine, the family moved to Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco and her whole life changed. Most of the excitement and color in her life came from the large Pezzolla family who lived downstairs, where there was always plenty going on and they attacked life with gaiety.
