FOX AND BEAR

Four mildly amusing episodes in the life of two friends: each in turn gets annoyed with the other for a well-intentioned trick; they pack so much stuff for camping that the only sensible thing to do is stay home and have a picnic; etc. Nothing extraordinary, but Caple's amiable text and her gentle, cartoon-style illustrations in varied frames make this a good choice where more easy readers are needed.
