TOO MANY YESTERDAYS

Can't see much chance -- or reason -- for this story of a weakling whose inclinations towards suspicion and jealousy almost destroy him. He is Steve, a would-be writer, who takes a post as caretaker of a solitary fishing island, thinking to settle down to write there. His wife seeks companionship where she can find it, with one of the coastguards, and this leads to a climax of jealous rage, when Steve loses his job. After purgatory -- purge -- and Steve emerges a better man. -- But no, for libraries.
