A useful compendium of information for those planning a vacation in Canada, whatever the time of year. Not arranged in Blue Book pattern, but taking specific subjects, such as transportation, hotels, boats, roads, ranches, camps, sports, tours, and so forth. Each subject cross sections Canada, so that under canoeing for instance, you'd get canoe trips in various parts of the country. Packed with useful information, colored with enough anecdotal material to make it readable and human. Not confined to summer travel, for hunting in the fall, fishing in the spring, skiing in the winter come in for their share. Throughout the matter of equipment, costs and supplementary reading material adds to the value. Would suggest consulting index on specific sections, if customer indicates specialized interest, as I found the coverage somewhat uneven. For instance, Nova Scotia is virtually confined to the Cabot Trail and the Evangeline country, with almost nothing of the lake and river regions, of the Bay of Fundy, of Digby and Chester. Some supplementary information in the appendix. You can't expect everything.
