A reprint of a book written, amazingly enough, during the period when militant suffragettes were headliners -- and now reprinted because of its extraordinary timeliness. Mix the Supreme Court tempest with the ex-king's romance, and stir in a few other elements, and you'd have King John of Jingalo in essence. Political satire, quite British, to be sure, and somewhat dependent on a knowledge of the machinery of English politics, I imagine, for full enjoyment, -- none the less it is a clever bit of comedy. I question a general sale over here -- but don't overlook it.
