THE HOUSE IN THE HILLS

Melodrame -- international situation in best Harold McGrath tradition. Mystery girl makes hit on movie lot -- gets involved in an accidental murder -- escapes to get caught in the mesh of her hereditary right to a throne of a remote Mediterranean country and her country's enemies. Baikie and his amateur assistant to the rescue, even though it takes them into terrific dangers and distant countries. Good yarn, with suspense sustained, but not routine mystery stuff. Meynell can spin a tale, with the best of them.
