TASTE OF VENGEANCE

Domesticity in Massachusetts and multiple mis-fired murders among the small town gentility. A versatile though incompetent killer provides the reader with poison, accidental death, murder on skis -- all for the wrong people while the intended victim eludes him. A congenial New York couple restore a New England house, bring along a reticent, fast-moving uncle (the intended victim) and succeed in terrorising themselves along with the rest of the countryside. Here is entertaining small town life and amateurish for rather pleasant casework.
