WHAT D'YA KNOW FOR SURE

The What Makes Sammy Run treatment for another panorama of the Hollywood razzledazzle which carries to full length an idea of shorter story aptitudes. Centered here is Pete Rands, small time assistant director with a reformer streak, Pete who wants to make better pictures on his own- and who wants to salvage Terry (Cherry) Evans, one time star and now skidding badly as her schisoid tendencies jeopardise her career. Taking Cherry to live with him, Pete only makes time with her when she thinks he's Bruno, in her more schiseid states, Bruno- her old man. In a while, Pete cures her, marries her, and together they make their first picture and success- with Cherry ready to throw up stardom to settle down as housewife to Pete... The usual tough talk, with more than an idle eye for the body beautiful, this passes- but has some previous competition to withstand.
