MICHELANGELO: A Renaissance Profile

This is a grand biography -- a long one for the older teens and adults, good reading, and one that should sell for years. The book starts when Michelangelo was thirteen and carries him through his colorful life to the days when at the age of eighty-nine he still used to tear his horse around the streets at night. Mr. Lerman's biography of Leonardo was excellent but unfortunately did not include enough illustrations. This volume abounds with illustrations by Richard F. Hunter and with photographs. At the end is an unusually interesting chronological chart giving the events of that exciting period in history.
