THE RISE OF AMERICAN OIL

The content is much broader than the title would indicate, for this is much more than the story of oil. Father is it a thorough history of the industrial revolution in America and the rise of the machine age, with oil as an important actor in the great drama. Scientists along the way -- the interrelation of petroleum in various forms as a power fuel -- elements forming component parts of power development. In conclusion he states that the inventive powers of the human race will keep well ahead of the almost inexhaustible supply of fuel. Good reading for anyone interested in the subject, technically or industrially.
