THE INNER SPLENDOR

Dr. Dunnington is the popular pastor of a Methodist Church in Iowa City largely attended by College students. This book reveals him in a new role -- that of the personal counsellor who is concerned with the releasing of our inner powers of mind and soul for the healing of the body, the reorientation of life and the deepening of its significance. In a sense this is a ""peace of mind"" book, but produced on a very high level of knowledge of the insights of psychology, psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy, and, what is more important, with a keen appreciation of what is involved in the religion of the spirit. Each chapter closes with an affirmation which the reader is urged to repeat slowly and often as a technique for ""appropriating spiritual power, poise, health of body, mind and affairs"". This is therefore a book for both devotional and inspirational use.
