And Kao K'o-Kung is a whisker smarter than his creator who manages to keep her main character Quilleran impaled on a plot as abstract/absurd as the art and artists he covers. Quilleran, ex toughie reporter, finds crime more compatible than playing Susy Knickerbocker to the Art World but his murder solutions are generally K.O'd by Koko's Siamese hiss. The usual artsy gang's all here...it's an unhappy Happening.
