THE FACE OF THE CRIME

Filling in the features of faceless Mary Hudgin (once disfigured in an accident; now mutilated and murdered) takes Detective Link from New York to Hollywood and back again, establishing her identity as a former film star, Maritta Shaw. The story, at high heat, is one of this author's better ones but if it were a movie, it would still be a second feature only, to be screened for the ladies.
