MR. PETERSAND'S CATS

Here's a silly little story cat lovers and Slobodkin fans will like- a kind of it-could-happen fantasy set in a summer sea resort near N.Y.C. People who come to Firefly Island for the summer, usually want cats to make their houses homey- and Mr. Petersand owns a ready supply of them. But he's against people who want part-time cats only, and refuses to give any out- until young Maybelle shows a real love for a kitten, starts a trend, and the cats go back to the city with their owners.
