MYSTERY IN ARLES

Arles, this time, Nimes, Avignon- sur le pont and all around, as the main sites in France's Provence, provide a different background for a not very different story. Damaris, almost 18, goes to spend the summer there along with her cousin Celia in the household of the Gironelles where Celia has been an old familiar. There the youngster of the two Gironelle'boys, Paul, 23 seems to be in some sort of trouble which is identified, through an overhead conversation as blackmail. In the murder to follow of an artist-gallery owner, Paul is the likeliest (suspect) whom Damaris is able to clear. At best, pleasantly palpitant with more romance than mystery and tinted with local color. Some girls only.
