THE GLASS MENORAH and Other Stories for Jewish Holidays

A thoroughly dull collection of stories in which the Berg family celebrates eight holidays. The setting is amorphous; the personalities of the children are undifferentiated. With so little to grab interest, it is unlikely that anyone will care about their misplaced Sabbath candlesticks or whether apples will be available to stick onto the flags for Simchat Torah. The All-of-a-Kind Family series, still in print, is a far more compelling presentation of Jewish family life.
