TO UNKNOWN LANDS

What might have happened to Tall Arthur Lake and Irish Willy, two Britishers who are supposed to have gone with Columbus on one of his voyages, is told in another brisk adventure by Mr. Wellman. From a raid on a small Hispaniola fortress, Tal Arthur and Willy escape to Mexico where capture by unfriendly Indians introduces them to Kaxt, a Mayan prince and also a prisoner. The three become firm friends and escape to Kaxt's people who immediately take Willy for Kukulcan, the great white god of the Mayans. But tension grows as Willy and Arthur learn of the Mayan conquest by the Aztec and become increasingly aware of the evil nature of high priest Axaypa, placed in power ever Man by the Aztec. A battle follows and in it Willy and Arthur are able to use their powers as white gods to help the Mayans win their freedom again.
