OLD MRS. OMMANNEY IS DEAD

...which brews up a case for that plaintive Detective-Inspector, Septimus Finch. For the prosperous Ommaneys had a reputation for practical jokes; cousins married cousins and brothers married dead brothers' wives -- which left the young Mrs. Ommanney in trouble. It takes scandal, an amnesiac, and more deaths to put Finch in a position to rid Market Stailbridge of its terrors. Impeccable manners.
