ENJOYING THE NEW TESTAMENT

A Catholic book for Catholic readers designed to assist in an understanding of the New Testament, this is a most thorough and practical work for its purpose. The author takes the reader through the books of the New Testament, one by one, giving the background which each book was written and an explanation and interpretation of the central hemes of each as expounded in Catholic teaching. While making no pretense to scholarship, the author makes available to the laity the results of Catholic scholarship, being careful, however, to deny the implications of Protestant scholarly research and of the so-called Modernist trend within her own church. Her name is familiar to those who know her Book of Unlikely Saints. Father C. Lattey, S.J. one of the editors of the Westminster Version, contributes a foreword.
