MR. MAGIC

Rabbits ad nauseam for the reader as Barney and Gretel, aged 8 and 9, share in projects and surprises to the point of saturation. Mr. Magic, rabbit No. 1, is found in the garden by Barny, who enters him in a pet show. Then he acquires a wife and successive additions to the family. There's a rabbit club organized; there are bunnies for Easter; there's a vegetable garden started- and Mr. Magic plays his part in this. The happy times are laid on too thick and this is no competitor to the author's own Cocoa (1953).
