A SPANIEL OF OLD PLYMOUTH

A might-be-true story of the trip from Old Plymouth to the new colonies as experienced by a springer spaniel, and of his adventures when he reached his new home. Of his capture by Indians and of his accidental escape and return. A fresh way to tell a familiar story, but with surprisingly little conviction of life in the new country. The early part of the book -- the training of the pup, etc., is the best.
