Bounce catch, dodgeball, socco, various handball and net games, tetherball, several base games played with a rubber or soccer bali on a baseball diamond, sockball and kickball, and some simplifications of basketball: Gould provides tips, rules, and photo-illustrated directions for several informal playground games which are usually passed on, not through a book, but from kid to kid. Her style is suitably informal, and so are the cartoon drawings. Most kids will find some new games in the bunch, and some might appreciate the squabble-settling guidelines for more familiar ones.
