A MANUAL FOR BABY SITTERS

The youngest profession is given a thoughtful and thorough going over, as the proxy parent (presumably of high school age) is told what will be expected of her, and what she may expect. The qualifications the parent may demand; the information the sitter should have (about the child, the home, etc.); the fundamentals of caring for a baby, a 2-year old, a 5-year old, etc. Meals, equipment; hazards and accidents and first aid; bed time; reading; a bibliography which suggests books and games for each age group. A relaxed point of view combined with concise and competent information.
