FARLEY ARE YOU FOR REAL?

Chubby, a little out of practice, and looking more like a slightly rundown shopkeeper than a genie, Farley emerges from a bottle Archie finds at the dump and insists that the boy make three wishes so he can return to it. Archie, skeptical, plays hard to get for a while, but then just to humor Farley he wishes himself the genie's size. The result, if delayed, is predictable, with Archie chased by a cat, befriended by a mouse, and almost snatched up by an owl before he can wish himself back to normal. It's a prosaic Aladdin to be sure, though Archie's third wish--""always to remember how things looked when I was two inches tail""--makes for a felicitous conclusion.
