Based on the original notebooks of Thomas Alva Edison, this short book describes 29 simple electrical experiments that can be performed by any scientifically inclined teen-ager. Most are done with the help of flashlight or larger battery which for the most part precludes anything more dangerous than electric shock if handled carelessly. Materials needed are listed conveniently in an appendix under chapters headings: Carbon Button, Speaking Telegraph, Insulation, Electric Light, Fuse, Etheric Force (Wireless), Edison Effect (Radio Tube), Electric Pen, Phonograph, Quadruplex. It contains a very short biography of Edison and an introduction by his son Charles Edison. Prepared under the direction of the International Edison Birthday Celebration Committee of the Thomas Alva Edison Foundation.
