The Best Valentine in the World. . . but only an average treatment of the not-really-forgotten-Valentine plot. This has Ferdinand Fox working busily from November till mid-January on a super special Valentine for Florette. On February 14th, sure that she's made one for him, he takes it to her house in a garbage bag--then stomps home mad because she's forgotten all about Valentine's Day. Later, she phones and says she has a Valentine for him. He grumbles that it's a last-minute job, but goes back anyway--and lo! it turns out that she had worked from St. Patrick's Day to the Fourth of July on a Valentine as large and fancy as the one he made, then stashed it out of sight and mind in a closet. The major novelty is that Ferdinand made a purple Valentine, and Florette made a green one, because ""Everybody gives red."" Briskly delivered, but, yes, forgettable.
