Fifty-eight rhymes in a tall skinny (5"" x 10fl"") package, illustrated with bouncy but unoriginal black-and-white drawings and ranging from jog-trotting variations on well-worn subjects (birthdays, playing dress-up, comparing height as in the old-fashioned ""John is the tallest, he's even so high . . ."") to the catchier wordplay and nonsense of ""Fish,"" ""The Llama Who Had No Pajamas,"" or ""The King of Umpalazzo."" But as some of the catchiest--""Ocelot,"" ""Advice"" (on the armadillo), ""A Rabbit'--have been recycled from previous Hoberman collections, this tall mass-market lookalike doesn't look like much of a buy.
