FLOOD TIDE AND STARS

A sentimental story of an ""ideal"" family, the Holbrooks, whose happy home is threatened by the upset caused by the son falling in love with his ""sister"" Jean, who turns out to be adopted. This rocky road to romance is further complicated by a spy mystery on Cape Cod, which Dale and Jean help to solve. They discover religion just when life seems hardest -- and there's due share of flag waving, when Dale enters the Air Corps. Neither well-written nor well-developed, with only a few good spots.
