The Betsy-Tacy-Tib series needs no introduction. The girls are getting a little older and high school life becomes definitely complicated with boy troubles. Betsy thinks she ought to change her ""style"" and a visit to Tib seems like an opportunity to make the change. She, of course, learns that she is inescapably herself, and that fact is not unpleasant to her friends. The same ""Meet Me In St. Louis"" atmosphere prevails. Ardent readers will want to keep up with the girls even though they have passed beyond the 12-15 age.
