He gives earnest, detailed recommendations which cover first visit to the city, on to settling in, selecting roommates, sizing up an apartment and a neighbourhood, and protective devices of all kinds. There are also remarks on the right kind of behavior (non-provocative), and directives for the prospective unwed mother and the professional organizations to which she can turn....
