DARK CARNIVAL

Elements of mystery- not much mystery, and the environs of Nice for the story of Shirley whose broken engagement and heart is soon soothed by the meeting with John Brown, whose sister had died inexplicably at the home of Robert Revenau. Shirley, who had once known Revenau, is at first loyal to the old friendship, covers for him until she is finally forced to recognize his involvement in a burglary as well as the murders he has committed. And in the face of danger her spitting and spatting with John quiets down to the mutual acknowledgement of their love. The feminine formula in amplified- but still simplified-treatment.
