THE FORTUNATE MARRIAGE

Poor, orphaned Louise is invited by her rich cousin Caroline to take care of her two youngsters. So far, so conventional. But after that this avoids the too-corseted category when Caroline, who is willful and has never gotten along with her husband Captain Dynham, meets her accidental death in a phaeton, when Dynham is wrongly suspected of having given her an assist toward that untimely end, and when the children at first repudiate their father. But it all ends well with not one but two more fortunate marriages. Not all the folderol of say Georgette Heyer--but for the same Bath-chair audience.
