SEVEN SIMEONS

The Russian folk tale follows a conventional pattern, with enough originality in detail to hold the interest. A king who has an exalted idea of his own fascination employs six brothers to find his bride -- and throws the seventh into the dungeon, but it is the seventh who turns the trick. Illustrations in perfect synchronization with the spirit of the story -- in red, green, black and gold pen and ink. Again a story which 6 to 9 year olds will enjoy read aloud.
