THE BELLS RING OUT

A new addition with the book following to the Children's Hour Library of religious books for Protestant children, this emphasizes with the others the happy, joyous and rewarding experiences formed through associations with God and His houses of worship. Paul leaves Switzerland to come to America, and with his parents soon makes new friends, becomes a member of the Sunday School and joins in the preparations for Christmas. But Paul knows of a Christmas surprise and has a difficult time keeping it to himself. When new bells made by his grandfather ring out in the church steeple, however, he is glad his friends were surprised. The unselfconscious group singing and church activities, family fun and a spontaneous love of church services pictured make this a valuable book for Sunday Schools.
