TOWN MEETING MEANS ME

Narrower in application than the title would indicate, this simplified treatment of small town organization is of value primarily for young citizens of small towns, since the complicated municipal and county systems are brushed over too lightly. With rather pleasing diagram-like illustrations in two colors by Lloyd Coe, this book unravels some of the mysteries of taxation, elections and citizen representation in an ideal small town government. A useful tool for the classroom around election time, particularly, this may also be used with older children to explain the democratic process.
