BIG TALK

Little Kangaroo's talk is expansive: he's as fast as the wind, as tall as a tree--but for his mother, it's his funny face that confirms his identity. After she also confirms his boasts as possible aspirations, he admits that he wasn't so sure they were true, either. This typical, affectionate parent-child exchange is cheerfully illustrated with chalk pastels--a promising debut for Auclair. Nice toddler fare.
