MISHMASH AND THE ROBOT

Mishmash, the almost-human dog that Pete had to give to his teacher Miss Patch to get him out of the neighbors' hair, seems jealous when Miss Patch takes in a vacationing friend's dog Philip. But he strikes up a friendship with the Goodway supermarket's new robot Robert, and Robert seems to return his affection. Now Wanda next door taunts Pete for being jealous--especially when both Mishmash and Robert disappear (""I think he had some wires crossed,"" says a Goodway clerk of Robert) and so does a lot of food from the store. There is also a trail of vandalism and goodies missing elsewhere in town--could the unlikely partners be responsible? Yes and no, it turns out, when Mishmash returns--but it's a nice old klepto lady who's been ripping off the Goodway. Farfetched and flighty but easygoing, like other Mishmash adventures. For the following.
