ZOOMIES, SUBS AND ZEROES

The history of the Submarine Lifeguard League, a skillfully organized rescue operation in the Pacific during W.W. II, is one of enormous danger and of the remarkable way in which these subs fished countless airmen from the sea. The stories, told in a ""you were there"" spirit are both harrowing and comical and both authors keep the adventures at a definite human interest level all the way.
