FLOWER ARRANGEMENT WORKBOOK 2

The basic No. 1 we missed but assume from description that it was a practical, down to earth instruction book, dealing with basic principles. No. 2 assumes this knowledge, but is definitely not too advanced for those still in the amateur class. Twelve lessons here, dealing with special problems related primarily to arrangements for the average home. Flowers from the garden, from June on, are supplemented by florists' flowers for the citybound and for winter, dry arrangements, resulting from carefully planned growing and preparing of materials -- or from equally careful selection. There's the challenge of specialty ideas, of types of containers (a welcome group such as the average home offers), special occasions, different types of rooms, of settings, of period backgrounds, of accessories. Assuming that the mechanical difficulties and fundamental principles are conquered, this is an exceedingly useful self-teaching book, full of practical hints.
