THE EGYPTIAN NECKLACE

The customs and color of ancient Egypt take on form and vigor in a breathless mystery set in those times. Young Ar and his friend Pta grow increasingly suspicious of Rham, the building overseer, on a visit to the new obelisk, designed by Ar's father, Pharaoh's chief architect. The boys apply methods of expert detection to uncover the evil plan of the jealous Rham to rob a tomb of its treasure and plant it within Ar's household, knowing full well that such a crime was punishable by death. How the ingenuity and bravery of the two boys vindicate the innocent and bring the guilty to justice form the plot foundation, satisfyingly climaxed by the Pharaoh's reward to Ar,- of the priceless Egyptian necklace.
