ANNIE'S SPENDING SPREE

A lilting story with an old fashioned country store air takes small Annie through a pleasurable birthday time. On the day before the party her grandmother gives her a whole dollar to spend and Annie has fun figuring out what to spend twice fifty cents, four quarters, ten dimes, twenty nickels or a hundred pennies on. To boot, she gets what she doesn't buy as presents. Aldren Watson's pictures in rust colors and aqua have a pleasing Vermont country store atmosphere. Firm backsewn spine.
