TRY AND HOLD ME

A sort of Heartbreak House where the wild Irish Darceys live, a widower and his three children who all love the wrong people and seem unable to hold them. The advent of a oalm wise stepmother averts several amorous tragedies and after a good job of spring cleaning, the Darceys are straightened out. Livelier characters than average light novel, and several centers of interest in the various entanglements but otherwise run of the mill rental library fodder.
