A rather pedantic fictionized biography, dealing with the last six years of Sir Thomas More's life, of the events leading up to his execution and of the part he played in the break between Church and State during Henry the Eighth's reign. Olive White is the sister of Helen White -- and has the same tendency to assume too much specific knowledge of characters and historical events as her sister, on the part of her readers. This is a long book, crammed with evidence of sound scholarship, but too pedestrian for the average reader.
