True to the title, this magnificent volume gives us the story of the Ethiopian war, as led, seen, and understood by General Badoglio. He writes clearly and concisely, giving us the story of his appointment and the picture of every battle. Needless to say, the point of view is pro-Mussolini and pro-Fascist, but primarily he is an Italian patriot. The book is headed by a facsimile letter from Mussolini, and includes many photographs, letters, military orders, and maps of both the country and the battles fought there. Interesting if biased reading.
